One of the most asked questions we've received in years of taking pictures of California beaches is "What's your favorite beach?" We have been asked this question so many times that we turned the tables and began asking other people. It turns out that everyone has a different answer. Though repeating themes are heard, the same words are seldom spoken twice. As you explore this website you will see that California's beaches are strikingly different ranging from flat, smooth sand to rocky cliffs dropping directly into the Pacific Ocean. As a hiker and camper you may prefer mountainous, tree-covered terrain. As a volleyball player you seek a smooth, wide sandy beach to set up your net and play a game.
